More Paramore More Paramore

Paramore went on social media last night and shared a fun little video on the Notes app, teasing a potential new release related to their most recent album, This Is Why, released in February 2023.

Naming the note Re: This Is Why, whoever’s behind Paramore’s social media presence posted the date for 28 September and typed out This Is Why, followed by 2 October and Why Is This? and 6 October and Is This Why?

The first date could be related to the initial release of This Is Why, of which the title track was released as the first single on 28 September 2022. Hopefully, we find out more information about what Paramore are teasing in the coming week. You can watch the teaser clip below.

In late August, Paramore returned to the studio and shared a photo from said studio that included a piece of confetti with the word “WHY” from their live show over sheets of paper.

Vocalist Hayley Williams also confirmed that the band were working on something fun via the band’s Discord account.

“We've been off the road for a couple weeks now... mainly in LA. Thankfully, got some down time, but we put some work in, too,” she wrote. “It felt good to get back into a studio. More of that once we get home to Nashville.”

Remaining cryptic enough while still instilling excitement in fans, she added, “Zac [Farro] Taylor [York] and I just want to get back to making things. We've been craving that for a while now. Not only the creative process but the layer(s) of insulation that can come with the creative process.”

Paramore will tour Australia and New Zealand for the first time since 2018 this November with special guest Remi Wolf.

The tour spans from Saturday, 18 November, at Auckland’s Spark Arena, Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, 22 and (new show) Thursday, 23 November, Sydney’s Domain on Saturday, 25 November, and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Monday 27 and (new show) Tuesday 28 November. The extra shows were added after the pre-sale was met with unprecedented demand.

The band also added a third and final show in Melbourne a few weeks ago.
