Slipknot Tease Australian Maggots

Slipknot has released a teaser video on social media captioned, "AU Maggots. Soon…."

The 25-second clip features the music from Adderall, the opener to Slipknot's new album, The End, So Far; their signature logo, and what looks to be a big ass tent with a backdrop of the country above it. They also included a link to a mailing list that says, "Australia 2023... Sign up to be the first to know."

Now, we ask ourselves: what are they teasing?! What venues will they play in? Are we getting Knotfest down under? Will they hit all states on tour? Who will support them?

The End, So Far debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Charts upon its release, which marked the band's third consecutive #1 on the ARIA album chart.  

Slipknot recently bestowed its dedicated fans with a high-definition gift, uploading sparkling HD remasters of nearly their entire video catalogue to YouTube.

The Iowa metal legends have made the iconic visuals for ten songs, all of which pre-date the HD era. The songs given the HD treatment are Wait and Bleed, Spit It Out, Left Behind, Duality, Before I Forget, Vermillion, Vermillion, Pt. 2, Psychosocial, Sulfur, and Snuff, with the HD remastering giving many of the clips an even more sinister edge.

Speaking with The Music last month, Alessandro Venturella, or as we know him, Slipknot bassist V-Man, said: "You could hear all the aspects of everybody in the band, and it just turned it into something else. Joe [Barresi, producer] brought his expertise and really took those songs to another level. We're very proud of those songs.

"When I go to shows and see a 13-year-old kid, or 10-year-old kid drumming along to everything, or, you know, there's a bunch of kids that we've seen do a music video of them playing along to something. I think that's just incredible."

Maybe 13 and 10-year-old kids will attend whatever devilish event Slipknot are planning for Australian fans.
