Slipknot have given their devout legion of 'maggots' a high-definition gift over the weekend, uploading sparkling HD remasters of nearly their entire video catalogue to YouTube.

The Iowa metal legends have made the iconic visuals for ten songs, all of which pre-date the HD era.

The songs given the HD treatment are Wait and Bleed, Spit It Out, Left Behind, Duality, Before I Forget, Vermillion, Vermillion, Pt. 2, Psychosocial, Sulfur, and Snuff, with the HD remastering giving many of the clips an even more sinister edge.

Slipknot are gearing up to release their much-anticipated seventh studio album, The End, So Far on September 30. The band have so far issued three singles from the album, The Chapeltown Rag, The Dying Song (Time To Sing) and Yen.

Yen arrived accompanied by a video directed by Slipknot member M.Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, which you can be seen below. Talking about the upcoming record Crahan offers “New Music, new art, and new beginnings. Get ready for the end.”

Produced collaboratively by Joe Baressi (Queens Of The Stone Age, Soundgarden, Avenged Sevenfold, Parkway Drive) and Slipknot, The End, So Far is the follow-up to Slipknot’s 2019 We Are Not Your Kind which marked the band’s third consecutive #1 on the ARIA album chart.

The announcement of the album comes a few months after the band launched an innovative partnership with The Sandbox, a leading gaming virtual world, to bring their curated festival Knotfest into the metaverse.

As a result of that collaboration, the band launched KNOTVERSE, a Web3 home for Slipknot/Knotfest metaverse experiences and concerts. The collaboration brings together innovators in their respective fields to create a one-of-a-kind meeting place for heavy music culture. KNOTVERSE will host Web3 experiences curated by Knotfest and Slipknot - specifically for the culture.
