More Neck Deep More Neck Deep

For those who have always wanted to believe and passionately sing along to blink-182’s Aliens Exist, Neck Deep have returned with their teased song about aliens, Take Me With You.

In a music video showcasing vocalist, Ben Barlow being abducted and meeting a green man, Neck Deep then plays the bridge aboard the mothership. It’s a fun clip that doesn’t take itself seriously and calls back to the joyful days of pop-punk. Check out the music video below.

Take Me With You is Neck Deep’s first song since announcing their September 2023 Australian tour with special guests Yours Truly. The track also follows the previously released singles STFU and Heartbreak Of The Century.

Take Me With You is one of those songs where I had the title first,” Barlow recalled in a press release. “Literally as simple as “we should write a song about aliens called ‘Take Me With You.’ So conceptually and lyrically, it was pretty straightforward.

“A few of us in the band are big UFO heads, particularly Seb [Barlow, bass], so we had a lot of fun writing this one.”

Barlow continued, “I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a slight nod to Blink 182’s ‘Aliens Exist’, but you can blame Tom [DeLonge] for infecting my fragile mind at a young age and then going and busting the UFO world wide open. It’s ultimately a little bit of fun before we come at people with the more meaningful stuff a little later down the line.”

Speaking of Tom DeLonge, the blink-182 guitarist and co-vocalist was recently vindicated by a Congress hearing on unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

In late July, former Air Force Intelligence Officer Major David Grusch testified in Congress that the US government had secretly run a “multi-decade” program that allegedly found and captured “unidentified aerial phenomena.”

DeLonge even received a shout-out during the hearings for his To The Stars Academy Of Arts & Sciences.

In a recent Kill Your Stereo interview, Ben Barlow revealed that the next Neck Deep single would be about aliens “in a fun way”. He added, “I think this album that we've got on the horizon is, you know–we're happy to be a pop punk band again.”

Tickets to Neck Deep’s upcoming Australian tour are on sale now via the Live Nation website.
