More In Hearts Wake More In Hearts Wake

After teasing a special guest for their first show on the Decade Of Divination run earlier this week, it happened.

Adrian Fitipaldes, the vocalist for Northlane from 2009 until 2014, took to the Metro stage last night and performed Shapeless (Judgment) with In Hearts Wake.

In a video captured by Instagram user luke_aurateque and shared by Kill Your Stereo, you can check out the scenes below. Fitipaldes’ voice hasn’t changed a bit.

The moment was surely epic for all the old-school Northlane fans and those nostalgic for the 2000s and early 2010s Australian metalcore scene. As one YouTube commenter said, "THIS IS HISTORIC".

With the Decade Of Divination tour beginning last night, In Hearts Wake stirred up trouble by teasing a possible special appearance by one of four guest vocalists who featured on the original Divination album, including Parkway Drive vocalist Winston McCall, Chad Ruhlig of For The Fallen Dreams, The Color Morale’s Garret Rapp, and OG Northlane vocalist, Adrian Fitipaldes.

Fans on Instagram were most excited by the possibility of Fitipaldes joining In Hearts Wake last night to trade vocals with Jake Taylor.

I need to see one more time Adrian scream again... imagine Quantum flux... in fuckin tears”. Meanwhile, Ruhlig commented that he was on his way.

In Hearts Wake’s Decade Of Divination tour continues tonight in Brisbane, followed by two shows in Melbourne this week, a sold-out gig in Adelaide, and wrapping up in Fremantle next Saturday.

They're joined by Stray From The Path, The Gloom In The Corner, and Diamond Construct on all dates. You can buy tickets on the band’s website.
