Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls Announce Their Largest Australian Tour

UK folk-punk troubadour Frank Turner is bringing his band, The Sleeping Souls, to Australia this November as part of the fittingly titled “The Never Ending Tour Of Everywhere” run across the world.

While Turner was only in Australia in April, these are the largest venues he's performed in this country. Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls mark the tour by making it their most extensive in Australia.

Touring his latest album, last year’s FTHC, Turner told Spin that the release went “back to the roots of my tastes in music”.

He elaborated, “For years, I’ve made music that is arguably ‘punk rock with an adjective qualifier,’ and I felt like ditching the qualifier this time. I was going to allow my musical first instincts free rein rather than trying to swerve my first impressions.”

Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls will be accompanied by Berkeley, California rockers Mom Jeans and Western Australia’s Emily Barker.

The tour begins with two stops in New Zealand – in Wellington and Auckland – before heading to Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Queenscliff Music Festival, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide. You can find all the dates and venues below.

A frequent visitor to Australia, Turner is beloved for his captivating and intense live shows and messages to Be More Kind and provide Positive Songs For Negative People.

According to the artist, his Metro Theatre show in Sydney, his 1,661st show, was one of his favourites. The Music described the gig as “raucous, rocking, punky fun”.
