"Another new thing for this album was the happy love song. I’ve written loads of love songs in my time and pretty much all of them are sad." - Frank Turner.
Frank Carter recently took some time to chat with killyourstereo.com about both releases, random acts of kindness, and Taylor Swift, of all things.
Turner again wears his heart on not just his sleeve, but over his whole goddamn body.
Tuner at his darkest, most personal, and as a result, at his best.
Frank Turner may very well be one of the busiest men in the music industry, having achieved more in the last year or so than a lot of people can boast in a lifetime. Along with the upcoming release of his fifth full length album Tape Deck Heart, he has performed at the 2012 London Olympic Games, began working on an exciting new side project, Mongol Horde, and is currently preparing to make his way around the globe with his new album, from the US to China, before arriving down under in April. Killyourstereo.com recently caught up with the musician to have a chat about the new record, and find out how he juggles his busy schedule.
More songs to drink to.
It's not hard to see the appeal of Frank Turner. As a singer-songwriter, Frank is as prolific as he is humble, piecing together aspects of folk and punk to create music that is diverse, honest and relatable. His latest album, 'England Keep My Bones', was a critical and commercial success, rewarding his talents with legions of affectionate fans and a recent 12,000-capacity show at London's Wembley Stadium. Frank spoke with Kill Your Stereo about his latest album, backstage tattoos and his upcoming tour of Australia.
Having fronted UK hardcore four-piece Million Dead until 2005, Frank Turner has well-and-truly retained his punk cred whilst producing some mighty awesome folk tunes. With the recent release of his fourth full length "England Keep My Bones", Frank caught up with KYS to chat about his beef with music downloaders and his love for Australia.
You'll love it, ey Guv.
