Nonetheless, this is definitely one for nostalgic punk AFI fans.

More XTRMST More XTRMST

The idea of two AFI members going back to their punk and hardcore roots is a notion sure to excite their long-time fans.

Davey Havok and Jade Puget’s self-titled, proudly straight-edge hardcore debut XTRMST delivers on this hype to a degree; the album is neat, thrashy and hardcore to a ripped ‘80s tee, and will 100% appeal to anyone looking for that kick. But the passion and anger comes across as meticulously planned and created specifically for this album, which makes the later tunes start to blur together. Nonetheless, this is definitely one for nostalgic punk AFI fans.
