"Clever, high energy performances, though the gags sometimes missed their mark."

The Night Before Cremnas is part improv, part scripted sketch show, full of clever, high energy performances, though the gags sometimes missed their mark.

The scripted segments were well timed and often quite clever, a rap about birds was particularly good, but they often relied too heavily on old, dry stereotypes to draw a laugh. The improvised segments showcased the performers excellent off-the-cuff comic minds well, but were far less snappy and were often stuck in static, circular jokes. We could clearly see the performers trying to prompt each other, breaking into giggles themselves. A fun, if slightly shaky, show to kick off an evening at the festival.
