"It's not a stretch to think that, in some bizarre, parallel universe, Voivod are what pop sounds like."

More Voivod More Voivod

Considering Lemmy's passing, there is an eerie quality to Voivod's latest release, which features a driving, Motorhead-esque bulldozer bass, as well as a cover of Hawkwind's Silver Machine.

For fans of the band, Post Society is par for the course: Voivod continue their mission of crafting wild, mind-bending prog-thrash that is somehow catchy. Additionally, the EP's shorter length makes it a much more manageable experience for the uninitiated who might not be ready for the head-crushing madness of Voivod's full-length sci-fi epics. It's not a stretch to think that, in some bizarre, parallel universe, Voivod are what pop sounds like.
