"The record is brutal yet elegant"

More Triptykon More Triptykon

If you liked the lumbering brutality of Monotheist and the haunting gothic grandeur of Eparistera Daimones, you're going to love Melana Chasmata. With this record Tom G Warrior finally lays to rest the worries about his past inconsistencies. The pouty glam metal sound of Cold Lake is now a very distant (and unmourned) memory. The record is brutal yet elegant, with the undulating sorrow of Black Snow just as effective as the sledgehammer riffs on Tree Of Suffocating Souls and Breathing. Melana Chasmata is a towering success from a tortured genius of heavy music.
