"Costin-Neilsen retains the lyrical depth he displayed on his EP Diamond Teeth, and the title track is a very pleasant way to spend six minutes."

Beginning as a solo acoustic project for baby-faced frontman Hugo Costin-Neilsen, Toy Boats has sprouted four more members and a debut LP. The former lead singer of successful hardcore band Dead Ends, Costin-Neilsen has taken the Dallas Green route into indie rock. He however lacks Green's vocal range, so Wedding Town is more of an acoustic Taking Back Sunday record than City & Colour's Sometimes. Nonetheless, Costin-Neilsen retains the lyrical depth he displayed on his EP Diamond Teeth, and the title track is a very pleasant way to spend six minutes.
