"These '80s stars have definitely still got it!"

A frosty Thursday night in Adelaide really heated up at Totally 80s, a real blast from the past starring seven international '80s superstars: Martika, Berlin, Limahl of Kajagoogoo, Paul Lekakis, Katrina (from Katrina & The Waves), Men Without Hats and Stacey Q. The venue was changed from The Gov to Thebarton Theatre, which allowed more space for the crowd. The venue was full, yet there was enough space for the audience to dance around freely without being too cramped.

The performance kicked off with Stacey Q at around 8pm and wrapped up with Martika at around 11.30ish. Each artist performed for about 20 minutes each, performing their most popular numbers. This quick rotation of performers prevented the audience from getting restless and built up anticipation for the next. The audience was of a predominately older demographic, which was to be expected at a Totally 80s night. A few members of the crowd were dancing but it was disappointing to look around and see a lot of people watching on with emotionless expressions… maybe they were just tired?!

All seven of the performers were engaging and their performance truly reflected the years of stage experience they had up their belts. The standouts of the show were definitely Katrina's Walking On Sunshine, Limahl of Kajagoogoo performing Too Shy and Never Ending Story, Paul LekakisAround The World, Berlin's Like Flames, Dancing In Berlin and Take My Breath Away and of course Martika with Toy Soldiers.

Every artist put in a bang of energy and this called for a very energetic '80s dance vibe! All in all a great night, a whole bunch of energy slammed into a few hours. These '80s stars have definitely still got it!
