Ever the control freak, Tom Vek is still doing everything himself on third album Luck.

More Tom Vek More Tom Vek

Ever the control freak, Tom Vek is still doing everything himself on third album Luck. Sometimes the record struggles to establish whether it's angry, lonely, aloof or even kinda frisky, and that moody battle makes for long-burning appeal. Vek's brand of growly-voiced electronica remains unapologetically homemade and while Trying To Do Better and You'll Stay sound almost too Pro-Tooled by a one-man band, most of Luck grinds out dance moves that feel like all of your favourite classic indie albums in one leather-gloved slap.
