"If the horn, mando', banjo combo is to your taste then 'Restless' packs plenty to num down on."

The Timbers bring all the Celtic-tinted folk punk staples to the table - if the horn, mando', banjo combo is to your taste then Restless packs plenty to num down on.

Lyrically it's hit and miss. Lines like The Plan's "Damn it with authority, I'm sick of picking up their slack" come across as clumsy and a little juvenile but you'll get caught up in Dead Rock Stars, buzzing 'round like a bar fly without wings. Overall it's more Mumford than Pogues and, in a way, if Gangs Of New York had been an animated Disney flick the soundtrack probably would've sounded a lot like this (minus all the whiskey).
