"Blank Check is a debut album filled with classic pop hooks and energetic melodies."

With a name like The Solicitors you’d expect the Melbourne-based quartet to dress well, and they do. As for their sound, think a cross between The Starting Line and Elvis Costello.

What they do though, they do it well. Blank Check is a debut album filled with classic pop hooks and energetic melodies. Lead single, If You Let Me Hold You perhaps exemplifying the band best. Non power-pop fans however might be forgiven for thinking that aside from closer, Goodbye, the record is filled with covers of Video Killed The Radio Star.
