Album Review: The Hello Morning - Tie That Binds

It’s earthy, pretty stuff, and gets better with each listen

This little four-track doesn't throw up too many surprises, but whatever; when the vocals are as sharp as the suits, The Hello Morning don't need to try and smash the formula with their country-influenced rock'n'roll. It's earthy, pretty stuff, and gets better with each listen. The slide guitar is inspired, while you can practically hear the sextet's worn boots stomp against the hardwood floor during tracks like Tie That Binds and Stay Awake. This EP solidly captures the past midnight hour with just the right whiskey.
