"The delicate drum beats, hypnotic synths and clever lyricism will leave you wanting more."

The General Assembly have not disappointed with their beautifully soulful and poetic lyrics. Vanishing Point is perfectly titled in that you'll vanish and be transported to a whole new world once you press play, almost like being drawn into a book.

A wonderful mix of songs featuring lyrics and instrumentals, this album brings together an exhilarating charge of music that combines more traditional indie-rock with synths and electronic beats. Matt Wicking's vocals are an absolute dream, he has the ability to bring you out of your head and make you completely focus on the music.

Standout track Things Fall Apart demands repeat listens. The delicate drum beats, hypnotic synths and clever lyricism will leave you wanting more. The lead single and title track incorporates all the best elements of the album, combining them into one excellently crafted song.

Littered with big-issue themes, from capitalism to environmental collapse, Vanishing Point takes the listener on a journey. It feels like a brilliant set of 12 short stories, we start at the beginning and make our way along until the lines converge.
