"It’s a pretty great effort overall that improves with a few listens. "

More The Cribs More The Cribs

On their sixth album, The Cribs demonstrate they’ve truly shaken the shadow of Johnny Marr after 2012’s In The Belly Of The Brazen, and even try their best ‘90s Pet Sounds experiment on An Ivory Hand and Pacific Time.

While the album has been self-described as more “pop”-oriented (think Manic Street Preachers meets Regurgitator), its occasional filler makes it probably more suited to fans and although it’s not really breaking any new ground, it’s a pretty great effort overall that improves with a few listens.
