It is little surprise that since relocating to Berlin in 2007 Anton Newcombe's Brian Jonestown Massacre output has become increasingly krautrock-influenced.

Don't Get Lost is BJM's eighth major release in that time and again owes much to the sounds of Newcombe's adopted home. Drums cycle on end, as drones and unbridled reverb add washes of texture. The basis for Geldenes Herz Menz and UFO Paycheck are straight from The Can's playbook, while One Slow Breath and Open Minds Now Close evoke Kraftwerk and Neu! respectively. We've heard it all before, but the album still makes for one hell of a trip.
