"Skipping Girl Vinegar and The Great Wave take the self-importance out of indie rock and just have a great time."

If The Great Wave’s intentions could be summed up in a single song, it’s Punch This Heart Of Mine.

Almost like Skipping Girl Vinegar are daring you to be in a bad mood and not smile while listening to this album. So many songs sound like they’d be perfect for a movie montage when the main character has learned their lesson and jauntily rights a lifetime of wrongs in a few minutes of screen time. Skipping Girl Vinegar and The Great Wave take the self-importance out of indie rock and just have a great time.
