"Tellier’s ambitious vision for arguably his best album to date is seamless"

Tellier has always French-touched our ears inappropriately with his accomplished and delightfully gratifying albums.

L'Aventura is a fantastical daydream that finds the Frenchman dabbling in the exotic influence of Latin music. Instead of aiming for ethnic authenticity however he filters it through the adventures in retro soundtrack of last year's Confection and his flair for the kind of pop we heard on Sexuality. Arthur Verocai's string arrangements meet Tellier's spaced-out synths assisted by Jean-Michel Jarre and Philippe Zdar over a bossa to spellbinding effect. Tellier's ambitious vision for arguably his best album to date is seamless.
