"Think of it as less of a departure from what the band is renowned for but rather an expanded exploration through new territory."

More Rosetta More Rosetta

American post-metallers Rosetta continue to push genre boundaries on their sixth full-length release, Utopioid.

Starting with Amnion, a gentle instrumental track that sets a scene for a different experience from the standard theme, the album is highlighted by bursts of heaviness, rather than driven by it like earlier records. Think of it as less of a departure from what the band is renowned for but rather an expanded exploration through new territory.

Released by the band themselves in a digital only format, Utopioid is both courageous in sound and concept. Luckily for listeners, in this case, fortune does favour the brave.
