"Your Round isn’t complex or ground-breaking, nor does it pretend to be"

Featuring anticipatory drumming and ingratiating off-kilter harmonising, Your Round isn't complex or ground-breaking, nor does it pretend to be. Canberra's Revellers unashamedly peddle a brand of tousled, hooky pop-punk that plays upon the listener's preconceived youthful nostalgia for the genre. Fuelled by broad accessible lyrics, their melodic vocal lines are flavoured with a slight angst. While the band's tinny, tried-and-true sound is paired well with their boyish aesthetic, screeching chords and Josh Anderson's earnest wails reveal a harder edge on Front And Centre. They play at 303, Northcote on 11 Jul.
