"With a debut EP as strong as this, it makes you wonder what the Sydney rockers could do with a full studio album."

In only seven songs, Red Gazelle manage to show off a surprising amount of versatility in their debut self-titled EP.

The seven tracks are heavy on guitar riffs that are balanced spectacularly with high energy old school rock vocals. The slower, more sombre tone of songs like Aside elevates the more indulgently heavy tracks, of which Imperfect System is a notable standout. Variety is often sacrificed when the number of tracks is limited; fortunately, this is not the case with Red Gazelle. With a debut EP as strong as this, it makes you wonder what the Sydney rockers could do with a full studio album.
