Album Review: Pitbull - Meltdown

Meltdown is at least vaguely listenable.

Pitbull starts off relatively strongly with Timber. Though it does grate, the faux-country electro thing is pretty catchy. However this precedes an uninspired collection that panders lazily to intoxicated clubgoers. That High is simply another cookie-cutter dance track while Do It is a completely derivative, banal R&B song. The EP is full of self-satisfied chuckling and complaints about fame – which is quite infuriating given Pitbull makes the most generic music possible, full of typically chest-beating rubbish. Meltdown is at least vaguely listenable.
