Live Review: Pitbull, Taio Cruz, Havana Brown, Timomatic

International superstar Pitbull (aka Mr Worldwide, aka Mr 305) brought his live show to our fair city on the first stop of his Planet Pit tour. Kicking the night off, Timomatic put on the kind of performance that made you tired just watching him. Dressed in all white bar his brown leather jacket, the singer/dancer performed with an abundance of energy, powering through upbeat hits such as Can You Feel It? and If Looks Could Kill. The young performer closed his set by asking the audience to count down before he belted out his hit track Set It Off.

After a short break Havana Brown slinked on stage. Dressed in a black cut-out jumpsuit and sky-high black heels, the performer was honestly better to look at than listen to. Although the track selection during her set was great (she played numbers from Kanye and Jay-Z to Daft Punk), it was evident that the music was pre-mixed and she wasn't really 'DJing'. Also singing tracks such as Big Banana (which was laughable) and You'll Be Mine, Miss Brown closed her set with current hit single We Run The Night.

Next up UK sensation Taio Cruz's kind demeanour and impeccable vocals made his set stand out. Not to mention the lighting! Wearing full black, the artist opened with the hit singles Throw My Hands Up and Break Your Heart, stating that he writes and produces all his own songs. He then performed Without You and Little Bad Girl, two tracks he produced for David Guetta. Powering though Dirty Picture and Dynamite, the singer closed his 40-minute set with the party anthem Hangover.

After a short video montage, dressed in a black suit and shirt to match, as well as his famous shades, Pitbull took the stage. The artist opened his set with Hey Baby, backed by his amazing live band. The ladies in the audience screamed as he performed hits such as Dance Again, Let It Rain and Back In Time, between pelvic thrusts. Pitbull even performed older tracks Culo and I Know You Want Me. The artist never lost his energy as he continued on with DJ Got Us Falling In Love, and I Gotta Feeling before closing his one hour set and the night with his first number-one single Give Me Everything.

Listening to the audience as they left the Dome, there was nothing but praise for the show. But with four performers who know how to work the crowd, why wouldn't there be?
