Perth Comedy Festival Gala

Hosted by the endlessly sparkling (both literally and figuratively) Rhys Nicholson, Perth's Comedy Festival Gala showcased local and international talent from across the festival.

With more openly gay men in the line-up than there were women; prostates and the fear of ladies' unmentionables seemed to be common themes. It's hard to fault a single act as they varied in style and comedic sensibilities, there was an unusually high quality spread across the entire night — something not often found in showcases such as this. Special mention to Daniel Townes' laid-back, one-liner comedy for making stand-up look so easy, anyone can do it, right?
