"Always coercing the listener to question what music is."

Azul, Mis Dientes is peculiar and perhaps more of a 'musical study' for listeners as opposed to the high-octane entertainment of Omar Rodriguez-Lopez' other output.

This is Rodriguez-Lopez' 18th solo release in the past year and a bit and features vocals by Teresa Suarez. The prevalent motif explored throughout the album seems to be discomfort or more so how sounds and arrangement techniques can elicit feelings of discomfort. Always coercing the listener to question what music is, the pacing is an enduring trudge with Suarez's singing drawing parallels to a stream of consciousness over Rodriguez-Lopez' signature jams and noise manipulation.
