Album Review: Ocean Sleeper - Six Feet Down

The debut EP from Gippsland lads Ocean Sleeper resides just a touch down the 'cookie-cutter metalcore' end of town, but they do it extremely well nonetheless.

And it just so happens that this type of melodic metalcore is hotter than hell right now, and Six Feet Down pushes all the buttons, makes all the right noises and hits all the bullseyes. The heavy parts are double bass-driven brutality, the melodic parts show great pop sensibility, and the ratio between the two is just about spot on. The metalcore kids will lap this up like a clowder of cats with a bucket of cream.
