Album Review: Miles Away - Tide

Five years between LPs can be problematic when attempting to recapture an audience’s attention in this instant gratification age.

These Perth bruisers carved themselves a niche within the local hardcore scene long ago though, and thus have a ready–made following to embrace anthems like Let The Words Roll By. 

Even greater emphasis on melody as a foil for Nick Horsnell’s oft–raw vocal delivery freshens up their sound. Entitlement recalls the band’s origins, while Mousetraps could have comfortably slotted onto their previous record. The more measured tempos explored alongside faster, aggressive passages could facilitate further creative possibilities.
