"The EP’s most listenable offering, single Captivate You takes the ‘hardness’ down a notch."

More Marmozets More Marmozets

Despite their knack for sharp, edgy riffs, Marmozets’ predictable rock structures flail thanks to their petulant brattiness.

The unabashed fury behind frontwoman Becca MacIntyre’s vapid shrieks of, “We can do whatever we want/’Cause we’re born young and free” borders on offensive. Her obnoxious style is a combo of Pink-inspired faux toughness with Amanda Palmer’s insufferable theatricality, roughed up with occasional screamo squeals.

The EP’s most listenable offering, single Captivate You takes the ‘hardness’ down a notch. However, their interesting descending chords are, again, utterly drowned out by MacIntyre’s pouty wails.
