Luminous

"What it lacks in storytelling, Luminous makes up for in its ability to transport the audience into its otherworldly garden of neon-lit delights."

Presented as a black theatre with four UV painted bodies taking on a wonderland of moving plant and animal creatures, Luminous manages to freshen-up the circus arts of juggling, hooping and silks.

Some playful moving of props by invisible black-clad stagehands also helps to create some innovative circus routines and create impossible illusions. An ambient electro soundscape is blended sensitively with the onstage movements and as such helps to provide something of a loose narrative. What it lacks in storytelling, Luminous makes up for in its ability to transport the audience into its otherworldly garden of neon-lit delights, resulting in quite a calming after-show glow.
