"Alt-pop noise spraying across the void."

More Local Natives More Local Natives

Local Natives emerge after a lengthy absence with an album grasping at straws in a post-Fleet Foxes world.

The LA outfit load wordless vocals and simplified harmonies into their shotgun and fire at will. Alt-pop noise spraying across the void, ricocheting off blogs and tastemakers and showering us with splatters of rim hits and floor tom triplets. They say in their press release that they've thrown out the "band rulebook", but their musical 'transformation' must be a slow release sort of thing - they're obliviously tilling the now salted earth of their (much better) earlier material and just added glitter to the results.
