Salute isn't their The Writing's On The Wall moment, but it's getting close.

More Little Mix More Little Mix

There are moments on Salute that restore a pop obsessive's faith in girl bands. Little Mix are four incredibly gifted vocalists, made clear on the mostly a cappella, total Destiny's Child-vibing, slam dunk of a tune that is Boy. Lead single Move is a slice of Neptunes-influenced pop, and Perrie Edwards hits a piercing high note with Mariah levels of precision on About The Boy. Yet the gems are padded by warbling mid-tempo filler tunes like These Four Walls, when the foursome play broken-hearted victims. Salute isn't their The Writing's On The Wall moment, but it's getting close.
