"If This Bus Could Talk closes the album appropriately, Chesney in reflective mood"

More Kenny Chesney More Kenny Chesney

Chesney is one of those stadium country rockers more rock than country. There are still a few Nashville rhythms on Drink It Up and Til It’s Gone but mainly it’s an album dosed up on rock hooks. The single, American Kids, at least shows he has a sense of humour and it’s the closest you’ll get to hearing a country star rapping. The theme of the album posits the idea of hippie culture in a modern setting, which is all a little simplistic. If This Bus Could Talk closes the album appropriately, Chesney in reflective mood.
