More John Legend More John Legend

Legend continues to fly the Neo-soul flag proudly with backing from old mate Kanye.  His soulful voice hasn't lost any of that lush timbre during the five-year hiatus since 2008's Revolver.  Minimalist ballads take the lion's share of these 20 heartwarming and pant-moistening tracks but no single song stands out apart from the cover of Bobby Caldwell's Open Your Eyes which you may recall from Common's perfectly executed The Light – instead it simmers more as a collective backing track to a couple's night, followed by some intense baby making practice.
