"The band have decided to go out, not with an anti-climatic Facebook status, but with a two-punch bang in the form of a double 'farewell' release."

More Jinja Safari More Jinja Safari

In January, when Sydney's loveable indie-pop outfit Jinja Safari announced they'd be parting ways after almost six years of making music together, it could have been the end.

Instead, the band have decided to go out, not with an anti-climatic Facebook status, but with a two-punch bang in the form of a double 'farewell' release, called Crescent Head. The first of these albums is Crescent Sun. At every turn this record is upbeat, from the catchy melodies and jungle rhythms of tracks like Find My Way and Kilimanjaro to the the smooth vocal harmonies of Primary Colours. These light-hearted and upbeat songs are a joy to listen to.
