Album Review: Honne - Warm On A Cold Night

"... never achieves the climax two years of foreplay has teased."

More HONNE More HONNE

So you make love and if you're lucky, a bub arrives nine months later.

Unless you're British duo Honne, who released a couple of semi-arousing baby-makers back in 2014 and only now deliver the long-player. Question is: Was it worth the wait? Warm On A Cold Night never achieves the climax two years of foreplay has teased. Down-tempo mumblings crackle through James Blake-ish electronica, if broadcast on what romantics think London's Kiss FM probably sounded like at 3am in the mid-'90s, but it doesn't take long to get that bored look in the eyes.
