"Fun, nostalgic and very listenable."

More Fraser A Gorman More Fraser A Gorman

Curly-haired troubadour Gorman is probably tired of Dylan comparisons, but the folk legend is clearly among his chief influences and there’s an undeniable hint of late ‘60s Dylan in the tone of his voice.

Gorman does a great job of replicating sounds and styles from a time gone by. The live recording style and the fiddles and piano featured on My Old Man bring to mind Dylan’s buddies, The Band, while the cruisey single, Book Of Love, sounds like the best Velvet Underground song you’ve never heard. Fun, nostalgic and very listenable.
