"Get yourself a girl who can do both."

More Elle King More Elle King

American badass Elle King is back with her second album Shake The Spirit, leaving those Ex’s & Oh’s behind her. Being brutally honest is what King is known for and she doesn’t mince words with the f-bomb infused Talk Of The Town opening up the album.

Baby Outlaw is bewildering with its alternative country-rock vibes and you can almost picture King on a horse with a gun in hand, arresting all the men breaking hearts. They say "get yourself a girl who can do both" though and luckily for us, King’s ballad Good Thing Gone will have you slow dancing in your lover's arms as soon as you hear it. It Girl is on another level again; it's such a relatable song for many women, about the pressures of being a girl in our society and what girls do to be popular.

Wolfmother’s Joker & The Thief comes to mind instantly in Ram Jam; the distinctive beat is there but the guitars are not as prominent. Elle King will blow many a listener's mind with her wit, talent and catchy tunes.
