More Earth Rot More Earth Rot

Earth Rot’s debut shows plenty of promise. As you’d expect from a black metal-influenced group, the record is intense from the get-go. Frostitute opens with an ear-splitting guitar line building over five minutes to an awesome, surging hook. There’s hardly a moment to pause for breath between songs as they all blend into each other. The guitar work in A Dark Ill is fantastic, while the intro into Hunger is sudden and is a great example of grindcore done well. All up, it’s a skilfully frenetic piece of work the guys should feel very proud of.
