A matured band that still knows how to have fun

More Dragonforce More Dragonforce

Guitar Hero isn’t cool anymore and DragonForce are well aware their gimmick has outstayed its welcome. In response, they’ve released Maximum Overload, showcasing a matured band that still knows how to have fun. This is helped by vocalist Marc Hudson, who has settled into his role as quasi-European power metal vocalist. Tastefully-placed Herman Li guitar-flairs ensure that DragonForce won’t alienate their mainstream fans while proving they can still get hard and heavy with the metal elite. While a few experiments might fall short, the bizarre cover of Ring Of Fire is a hilarious success.
