"An audio-visual cavalcade of parody songs and wonderfully edited clips to steer us towards the punchlines as well as raucous singalongs"

Complete with costume changes, an audio-visual cavalcade of parody songs and wonderfully edited clips to steer us towards the punchlines as well as raucous singalongs, there was never a dull moment in Denis Carnahan’s Rugby League: The Musical.

The crowd itself was on board from the word go, which made the audience participation sections move along quickly without the awkwardness of waiting for a volunteer. There were certainly NRL devotees who found themselves brimming with laughter, but even fair-weather sports fans will find something to love in Rugby League: The Musical. Carnahan has certainly won the Dally M of this year’s festival.
