'O'Doherty follows his tried and tested formula once again...it works as well as it always has.'

David O'Doherty's self-deprecating, comically depressive and cynical outlook has made him a comedy festival circuit favourite, and he continues with these winning themes in his show We Are All In The Gutter

Sporting brand new trainers, a boyish stripy t-shirt and of course, his Casio keyboard, O'Doherty cleverly weaves together tales of his childhood in Ireland, from running a childhood detective agency to playing with Star Wars figurines  of little-known characters given to him by his rich godfather.

He laments about monocultural Ireland and the hilarious clash between Catholics and Protestants, and recounts Referendum Day in Ireland which ends in protein powder consumption gone wrong.

O'Doherty follows his tried and tested formula once again, and on the whole, it works as well as it always has.
