Dave Callan: A Little Less Conversation

Stand-up veteran Dave Callan said early in his new show that he sort of misses the days when he “just spoke”. Indeed the new work lives up to its name, and the “conversation” has been seamlessly replaced by dancing. For some reason, Callan is a hilarious dancer – I think it might have to do with his stern facial expression while flailing his arms about in overly choreographed chaos – and he leads us for one hour through a comprehensive history of dance.
