Sydney twin producers brought future bass vibes to the local crowd.

Lachie Ambler, an Adelaide electronic producer, warmed up the dimly lit space with a collection of swelling tracks and neat little covers, including a broken down take on Flume’s Insane.

Encouraging onlookers to move around and submit to the bubbling beats, Ambler delivered an inspired set that painted a very colourful, sparkling picture through creatively confident arrangements.

To celebrate the success of single Snare and give us a taster of what to expect in 2015, Cosmo’s Midnight announced an Australian tour starting at Rocket Bar in Adelaide. If you like your electronic music full of little explosions and sparkling from start the finish, look no further. Bringing a whole lot of future bass vibes (best described as happy trap music) to the crowd, the twins performed conscientiously and subtly as they got bodies dancing. Although their hit single Snare brought a sexy R&B ambience, what highlighted and defined their set were the lesser-known tracks that can be found on their SoundCloud page, which includes a killer Say My Name (Destiny’s Child) cover that got the crowd pretty damn excited.

Although the dance party was a consistent theme, the duo weren’t afraid to simply let some beats roll in and out of a spaced-out wave of synth: Surge and Lover’s Shadow a clear example of this. To close the set, the duo encouraged committed front rowers to come and dance onstage, breaking down the performer/audience barrier and immersing fans into every space of sound. Cosmo’s Midnight put on a rich, exciting live performance and are likely to return with bigger and shinier things in 2015.
