Come Heckle Christ

"A novel show without compare and a standout performance piece."

From the moment you walk in, it's obvious Come Heckle Christ is going to be pushing some boundaries. Our lord and saviour Josh Ladgrove stars in this unique crowdsourced comedy phenomenon. Essentially the show is as the title says, comprised of call-and-response between audience and Messiah. Ladgrove's Jesus is intelligent and serene, but by no means squeaky clean. He gently encourages his audience, not towards the blasphemous, but the interesting. It's remarkable how quickly a crowded room can build a dynamic, the heavy, awkward silences being pierced by moments of crazy, clamouring energy as everyone vies for the next gag. A novel show without compare and a standout performance piece.
