More Circa Survive More Circa Survive

"Fed by hand / And caught with force", Anthony Green's familiar vocals greet us with a spine-tingling introduction on opener Lustration.

It's been three years since Descensus, yet alternative post-punk outfit Circa Survive are back with The Amulet, maintaining the band's reputation of ethereal melodies and ambience. Bursting with reverberating guitars and sweet supple vocals, it begins with a softer spirit, that is until Rites Of Investiture kicks in and Green's infamously gritty tones emerge with the force of a brewing storm.

Ending on the aggressively raw title track, The Amulet is the final breath of air from the lungs of an emotionally heavy but melodically light body of work.
