"This four-tracker is short and sweet, but packs enough punch for repeated listens"

It’s been about a year now since Ben Khan popped up and his definitively cool mash-up of neo-soul, funk and forward-facing hip hop hasn’t lost any of its freshness in that time.

Being something of an R&B mutant isn’t too new, but Khan’s powerfully guitar-driven writing – inspired by great bluesmen like BB King – ensures his music maintains a sophisticated edge. This four-tracker is short and sweet, but packs enough punch for repeated listens. Red oozes funk goodness, while the staccato hook of the title track doesn’t let up. Can’t wait for a full-length and a tour.
